File preparation

Before you upload

Check your file against these examples.

Not ready

Remove notes and dimension lines

Delete material labels, measurements, dimension lines and other reference objects. Keep only the artwork to be cut.

Not ready

Move the design inside the artboard

The white area is your artboard. Move the entire design inside it, or resize the artboard to contain the design.

Ready to upload

Clean artwork, inside the artboard

Only the cutting design remains, fully inside the white artboard. No notes, measurements or unwanted objects.

01

Split oversized cutting pieces

Each individual piece must fit within one sheet at its finished size, allowing for sheet margins and hairline direction. Split larger pieces in your artwork before uploading. Separate pieces may be nested across multiple sheets.

02

Keep all artwork inside the artboard

Every cutting outline must be inside your selected artboard. Check your exported file before uploading.

03

Outline text and remove images

Supply PDF-compatible Illustrator (.ai) or vector PDF. Raster images, live text, ambiguous clipping and unsupported effects need manual review.

04

Confirm scale and units

Choose 1:1 for actual-size artwork, or 1:10 to enlarge ten times. Millimetres, inches and feet change display units, not scale.

05

Include your own inset paths

We preserve your supplied front and back geometry. For edge strips, identify the relevant outside and letter-hole boundaries, excluding extra inset cuts.

06

Keep your originals

Design files and previews expire seven days after upload. Reordering after expiry requires a new upload.
